"I can't say enough about the wonderful Pirate Storybook. It is so worth the price because it will remain with our grandson forever. I ordered the pirate bandana with it and it was also personalized with a "Capn" + the child's name. The pages were glossy, colorful and cleverly written. Not only was the product itself excellent, but the customer service was unbelievable. Our book arrived slightly damaged (two pages had stuck together which caused the paper on both pages to rub off). I immediately called Red Envelope and was told they would re-ship the entire order. This is the kind of customer service that will make me return to Red Envelope again and again."

"I ordered this for my nephew for his first birthday and was very pleased when I received it. The illustrations were very colorful and the book was well put together. Some of the sea animals were a little obscure, but overall I felt the book was great both visually and educationally."

"Previously I purchased the personalized rag doll as a gift and was thrilled with everything about it. So when I was looking for a gift for a 4 year old boy and saw the personalized pirate storybook I jumped on it. But the reality of the book was disappointing. The first thing I noticed upon receipt was the quality of the paper it was printed on, not great. When I actually read it I found the words used to spell out the childs name were not words in most childrens vocabularys. Unfortunately I had high hopes which were not met."

"I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old nephew. He was so excited to find out that he was part of the story! The back of the book also contains pages with descriptions of all the fish and sea animals used in the story. The book is a lot of entertainment with some education mixed in! "I purchased as a "just because" gift for my spirited 7 y/o cousin. My aunt said he wanted to call me right away to thank me. When I spoke with him he couldn't believe that the story was about him, and asked me "how'd you ever find this?!" Even though I explained and so did his parents, I received another call later in the day about how he still was amazed that the book was made especially for him, just so excited. He's been mesmorized all day, and reads it in a pirate's "arghh" voice! The quality of the book is great, with brilliant colors and pictures. Very happy with this purchase as it ignites the wonderment and joy that children show us so well."

"What a delightfully scripted book... If your child is interested in pirates at all, they will love how the story unfolds using their own name.... appropriate for boys or girls... the encylopedia of sea life in the back of the book was of great interest to my grandson, (5 years old). Maybe more so than usual because we had just taken him to a couple of BIG Aquariums ( Monterey)... hmmmm well worth the investment"
