Cute Idea - not so great item January 01, 2013
"Very cute idea, and my daughter loved it because she does collect corks, and has a large bar in her rec room. I thought the item was overpriced for what it was, a simple wood box, but really - it has to be empty to create the trivet, so I guess overall, for the idea, it was okay. It was as pictured. Perhaps if customization of the center cork was included it would be okay, but that was an extra $10."

Great idea - quality varies December 10, 2012
"Terrific gift idea - I made the trivets and did not just give the frame. Add a bottle of wine and it makes a nice gift basket. The lack of instructions was not an issue - if you can't figure this one out, there's a problem. Cork sizes vary so I recommend a trial fit and then hot glue to set them. Also suggest putting felt pads on the backside to prevent scratching table surface. Quality of the finish/wood on the frames varied somewhat so the two that were of lesser quality, I kept for myself."

"I love the idea of this gift but as others have said, it is not much of a "kit." An easy fix would be for it to include both instructions on how to create the trivet and a photo of the finished product to give people an idea of how it should look. I really expected the box to have an image on it but it only says redENVELOPE. I am creating my own enclosure with instructions I am finding online and photos from the Red Envelope website so my gift will make sense to its recipient."
