"While there was a delay on the delivery of the necklace, once it came, I put in on and have worn it everyday since. I like the symbolism and the artsy feeling. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I'm not terribly keen on the chain...the feel of it seems a little cheap. However, I do like the fixed clasp for the disk portion (so it doesn't swing around on you) and the adjustable feature."

Overpriced, poor packaging date: January 11, 2012
"I ordered this for my mother for Christmas. I was impressed with speed of arrival however the packaging was the first disappointment. The necklace wasn't placed on card well so you couldn't see the whole pendant, it was hanging off end of card with all chain showing. This was strange to me as red envelope is known for the lovely packaging.Then when I really looked, the pendant - which is beautiful and artsy - is attached and fixed to the chain. The chain is on the short and cheap side. Which means that you can't use another chain is desired. The chain extender is very cheap looking, and doesnt match the character of the necklace. If you extend it then puts the pendant off-center. Stupid. I love the pendant, but feel that it would be best as a solitary pendant on a chain and should be significantly less expensive."

"i especially like the pendants...contrast of brass/silver looks nice. oak imprint nice, too. the main chain for necklace is silver in color, consistent with pendant...the extender part of chain is flimsier and mine is discolored...looks and feels cheap."

Mighty Oak I bought this for my best friend because she is having big life issues right now that are draining her. The oak symbolizes not only her strength but all of her friends who will be there for her--kind of like the roots and branches. She loves it and wears it daily as a talisman.
