"Very disappointed in this item. Assembly was not simple, several of the precut mats had smudge marks on them and the whole unit does not hang flat on the wall."

Cheap Hardware January 14, 2014
"The piece looks great hanging; however it was a process getting it there. I had 3 screws completely twist off in the frames and custom header board. Even my husband, who used to build houses and is very handy, had some twist off. I called RedEnvelope and they were very helpful and sent me a complete new custom frame set to replace it right away. I just had to send back all the bad pieces. If you order this, I suggest going to the hardware store and picking up your own screws. Which is disappointing considering the price of this set, but it will save you a headache in the long run."

Unbelievably low quality for the price December 30, 2013
"Several of the frames had defects that were colored in with what looks like black permanent marker, which REALLY stands out unless you are viewing the frames in the dark, then they look perfect. 3 of the frame pieces of glass were also broken. I am not a negative person and rarely am I critical of anything, but the quality and workmanship of both items I purchased from Red Envelope this past Christmas (especially considering the price) were not acceptable and I won't be using their services ever again."
