"I ordered "Motherhood Birthstone Necklace Pendant with two stones" and no chain. I received two stones and nothing else. One stone was fine and just as it should be. The other stone looked like a purple piece of plastic and was meant to be a Ruby. It is still unknown why there was no mother pendant, but perhaps the description was misleading and when it said no chain that also meant no pendant, but when the item is called Motherhood Pendant, that's not what I expected.However, the customer service woman that I spoke to was awesome. She agreed with my confusion and the images that I sent and worked out a refund immediately. Dealing with someone like that easily made me willing to buy from Red Envelop again."

"It was probably stated in a previous review that I failed to see, but the birthstones are added to the pendant by bending the left-hand side of the heart. The heart splits kind of like a keyring. We found this out accidentially because the pendant got hooked on my wife's sweater and the heart bent open. Maybe that is a worthy comment in of itself. The birthstone comes on a closed ring that is looped into the heart. The problem now is that the heart doesn't close all the way.My wife thought I was giving her a pendant of a cutlass sword at first. She didn't see the mother with her arms in the shape of a heart. What does that say about her? :-)Overall it's a nice pendant, but it would have been nice to know these things before hand."

"This necklace is not at all what is pictured when you receive it - very cheap quality - when calling customer service to express my unhappiness - I was also told I could not return it as it was my fault. I would not recommend this necklace or red envelope to anyone!"

"I purchased a different "motherhood" necklace last Christmas from a different company and my mom loved it. However, I know she really wanted birthstones so when I saw this I had to buy it! She is really happy with it and thinks it is beautiful. I put the stones on the pendant for her and they were kind of a pain to attach because of how small they are, but the effect is very nice.Two of the stones ordered were supposed to be Aquamarine, but one of them had very little blue hue at all. She decided not to return for a new one, but I was still a little upset at the color differences between the two same gemstones."

"The necklace was Ok - however, the birthstones were not all facing the same way!! Nor were they in the proper order as I had listed them in my order!! Some were facing to the rear. Some were facing forward. The 2 Feb gems were together!! All wanted to fall Behind the pendant so as not to be very visible. I wound up taking it to a local Jeweler, who took it all apart & put it back together again. This time with the stones in their proper order & all facing forward!!I definitely would NOT recommend this company or product to anyone else!!!"

Great necklace - easy to add charms to For those who aren't sure . . . you can definitely add birthstones as you go, the "heart arms" open at the top and the other stones slide onto this so as your family grows, so can your necklace. It was very nice, packaged nicely and the pendant itself is a decent size.
